The e-presentation focuses on the European Investigation Order (EIO) and relevant case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU). It first explains the basics about what an EIO is as a primary legal tool for gathering cross-border evidence, also detailing whatn it can and when it cannot be used. It then proceeds to explain and analyse CJEU judgments regarding the issuing and execution of EIOs and the interpretation of judicial and issuing authorities, on obtaining evidence and on legal remedies.
