This e-presentation discusses the topic of innovation public procurement and, in particular, the Commission Guidance on Innovation Procurement adopted in June 2021. It will examine different options for innovation-friendly tools that can be used in all types of procedures to attract innovation and get benefits for both the buyer and the supplier. The main features of the specific public procurement procedures that entail the procurement of R&D services as described in the Guidance are presented, as well as some specific considerations related to IPR and State aid.
