It will explain the regulatory changes leading to the adoption of two different models of supervision – a micro and macro one. The speaker considers the goals of macropru and the authorities responsible for its delivery as well as its dimensions, domain and nature. The presentation then offers a useful comparison between the EU, the UK and the US models of macropru supervision, before focusing on the way it can contribute to effective crisis management.
