This presentation looks into actions brought before national courts in proceedings relating to State aid measures, notably actions for damages and injunctive relief. The powers and obligations of the national judge in different scenarios, the issue of locus standi, CJEU and national case law and practical examples are discussed.

Kai Struckmann is Partner at White & Case LLP in Brussels. He advises clients on all areas of competition law with particular focus on State aid law. Prior to White & Case, he was an official at European Commission’s DG Competition dealing with the enforcement of State aid policy and State aid investigations.
